The Stables at The Rio Grande (The Stables) is a beautiful, authentic stable in Creede, Colorado, renovated to serve as an upscale events venue. With one of the best uninterrupted views of the La Garita Mountains, The Stables is your first choice for a wedding, business meeting or family reunion.
The Stables can be outfitted for whatever event you are planning. Accommodations inside and out of the building include areas for dining, dancing, cocktails under the stars, and flexibility for all gatherings and events. Because of our exclusive partnership with The Creede Hotel and Restaurant, all the hospitality will be provided by their knowledgeable and friendly staff and all meals catered by their professional chefs.
Just 10 minutes away, Creede, Colorado, offers a quaint and personal experience for you and your guests. With spectacular scenery, located near the headwaters of the Rio Grande River and close to the North Creek Falls, it has all you need for you and your guests to experience the best of a rustic yet elegant experience.

The Venue
The Stables is a modern building, originally built for horses, but upgraded to provide for unique (human!) events. Inside, we have removed stall walls while keeping the feel of a stable and have painted and lit up the vaulted ceilings. See more photos below!
Events
The open plan space can seat up to 100 guests for a buffet curated just for your event. Afterwards, we can help with arrangements for a band or DJ for dancing. We work with two wedding planners who have experience with events.
